Gator Nation Giving Day 2025 Recap: A Record-Breaking Success!
Gator Nation Giving Day 2025 was one for the books! Our goal was to raise $2,400, but thanks to the generosity of our incredible Gator community, we smashed that milestone by noon and raised the bar to $3,500. By the end of the day, we had raised $3,617 from 38 donors, surpassing our new goal and unlocking all of our challenge gifts along the way!
A Night of Celebration at Brownstone
To cap off an exciting day, we gathered at Brownstone for our GNGD Happy Hour. While attendance was on the smaller side—with six of us, mostly board members and friends—it was a relaxed and celebratory evening. Having already exceeded our fundraising goal, we enjoyed the night knowing every extra dollar was just adding to our impact.
One of the highlights? Our group joined Brownstone’s trivia night, securing second place in the final game! And in a moment of true dedication to chaos, Sarah Beadle worked hard to get our donation total to a round number, only for Tyrel to immediately undo her efforts with a $6 donation.
A Growing Legacy
This year’s Giving Day marked another step forward in our club’s growth. Last year, we raised $2,126 from 41 donors without an in-person event. While we had fewer donors this year, we raised significantly more—demonstrating that our community is stepping up in bigger ways to support scholarships for future Gators.
We were also honored to receive words of encouragement from past leadership. Former club president Brittany Walker sent a donation along with a message:
“You guys are doing good work! Keep it up. I love seeing how the club has grown since it was in my hands.”
It’s reminders like this that keep us pushing forward.
