From Momentum to Milestones: What’s Next for the NEGC in 2025
As we say goodbye to 2024 and welcome 2025, we’re filled with optimism and excitement for the year ahead. Our Gator community has grown and thrived in incredible ways this past year, and we’re eager to build on that momentum to make an even greater impact together!
In 2025, our focus is clear: grow, connect, and give back. Here’s what’s on the horizon for our club:
Young Alumni Programming: We’re expanding our efforts to create more tailored events for recent graduates, starting with our Flight Club darts night in January.
Portland Programming: Our first Portland, Maine, watch party is coming soon, and we’re eager to grow this new satellite club! If you live elsewhere in New England—like Providence, RI, or Burlington, VT—we’d love to explore creating similar partnerships in your area. Connect with us to learn more!
Scholarship Fundraising: After awarding scholarships for the first time in five years, we’re ready to do it again. With a fundraising goal of $5,000 by June 30 (we’re currently at $2,600!), every dollar brings us closer to supporting the next generation of Gators.
University Collaborations: Building on last year’s successes, we aim to deepen our ties with UF representatives and co-host even more events that strengthen our connection to The Swamp.
New Ideas on the Table: From launching a NEGC softball, soccer, or kickball team to hosting new events like an entrepreneurship panel or CPR class, we’re excited to try new things! We’d love to hear any suggestions you may have - leave a comment on this post if you have an idea!
And that’s just the beginning! Upcoming basketball watch parties and events like Gator Nation Giving Day will keep the excitement rolling as we strive to bring Gators together across New England.
